Homeowner Guide

Finding a live-in stager for your vacant home is easy with MyVacantHouse.com.

Follow these simple steps to create a listing on the site and your vacant house profile will automatically be seen by live-in stagers who are interested in your area.

These are the easy steps:
  1. Use the "Homeowner Signup" option in the top menu to create a login and password

  2. Accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

  3. Log In using the newly created login and password. Click on the "Add Listing" option within the Homeowner control panel

  4. Click on the plus sign next to your state, this will display a list of cities.

  5. Click on the City,  - if it is not already part of the list, you can add it.

  6. Create a headline for your listing i.e. ‘Great Golf Course View in Gated Community'

  7. Answer a few simple questions about your house
       8.  Finish the desciption of the house and click  'Add LIsting'. Your listing should appear in the appropriate geographic region.

You can also browse stagers but won't be able to contact them until you have paid for access or added your house to the site.

Here are some tips once you have chosen a live-in home stager for your house.
Communicate the specific  terms of your relation ship including  the extra expenses to be paid,  the showing instructions for real estate agents, any advance notice required for showings, and a minimum and maximum notice for move out once the home is under contract.

     1. Check their credit score (there is a link on the site to help you) and perform a criminal background check.

     2. Verify employment and check any references the stager can give.

     3. We recommend that stagers carry an insurance policy including liability insurance at limits set by the homeowner.

     4. Put your agreement in writing and include language that addresses notice to move, in certain instances, even if the home has not sold.

     5. Homeowners will have the opportunity to leave feedback about a stager once their house is sold. Good feedback benefits the stager by making them more desirable to the next homeowner which could result in a better house or lower fee.
